Dr. Jean L. Farbod
Dr. Jean Farbod is originally from San Diego and attended both the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and the attended both the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, graduating in 2010. She remained in Michigan after graduation to work in her private dental practice but has returned to our beautiful community to be closer to her family in San Diego. Throughout her education, which includes graduating as her high school valedictorian, she has been the recipient of multiple scholarships and awards honoring her academic achievements. . She also served as Vice President of the Superior District Dental Society prior to her move to San Diego.
She continues to serve as a staff dental advisor for Facial Surgery Institute, a cleft lip and palate, maxillofacial, and craniofacial surgery center in Michigan, assisting the primary craniofacial surgeon in multiple cleft lip/palate, dental implant, cosmetic, and complex craniofacial surgeries. She also placed crowns and bridges on thousands of dental implants for the lead surgeon at the Institute. She is a published author in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and an Executive board member of the Great Lakes Smiles Project, a non-profit organization that encourages volunteerism in dentistry. She has participated in multiple dental outreach programs, including treating underserved children in Nepal, Costa Rica and Cambodia with Global Dental Relief and International Medical Relief. She also served as Dental Director for Superior Dental Day, which aimed at treating the underserved population in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Dr. Farbod feels blessed to be a part of the beautiful Coronado community and is excited to help everyone achieve and maintain beautiful and healthy smiles!
